Orenco Church offers the Alpha Course twice a year on Wednesday evenings. Join us for our next session as we offer what we’re calling Alpha-Live!

Orenco Church saw 90 people register for its first Alpha Course in 2010. What a great experience we had!  Time Magazine says “ … many claim Alpha has changed their lives and appear genuinely happier for the experience.”

So, what is the Alpha course? It is a practical introduction to the Christian Faith and covers topics like prayer, why Jesus died, if God heals today, how God guides us in everyday life, and how we can come to or be sure of our faith. Its presentations are informative, inspiring, and appropriate for teens to adults, as well as those new to faith, those who have been Christians their whole lives, and also those who still have questions! All questions are welcome at Alpha -- everything is open to discussion. And everyone is welcome – your friends, family members, and neighbors!

More than that, here at Orenco Church, "Alpha" is central to our life together. Wednesday evenings mean Alpha, a time of learning together. Every course we offer is free. We begin with dinner at 6:00 pm, then we have a short time of worship, teaching, discussion, and of course, coffee and dessert. New this year - we also are offering a program for preschool and grade school aged children, in addition to nursery care for infants. And Alpha is all live this time – no videos. Our teachers are Pastors Mark and Rachel, and even if you’ve taken Alpha before, you’ll hear about our faith from a new perspective.
