Youth Ministries at Orenco
Grades 6 through 12

Orenco's ministry to youth focuses on helping students meet Jesus Christ, grow in a personal relationship with Him, and reach out and service others because of Him. Our Youth Pastor, Rachel Stramel, strives to meet this goal: to expose students to the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ through exciting events and programs.

We offer both middle school and high school programs for youth in sixth through twelfth grade.

Our middle school youth group, called Impact, gathers twice a month and is for sixth through eighth graders. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month, middle school students gather for exciting games and activities, fellowship with friends, and a time to learn about the impact of Christ on our lives and how we can impact the lives of others. Impact meets from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. We also gather for special events throughout the year, including a trip to the corn maze in the fall and a lock-in the winter. Various Bible studies are offered throughout the year. Our past favorite studies have included Dave Ramsey's "Generation Change" and "Starting and Surviving Middle School." 

Day 1 is our youth group for those in ninth through twelfth grade. Day 1 meets the first and third Sunday evenings of the month throughout the school year from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Like our middle school youth group, high school students also gather for a great time of fun and fellowship, as well as a look at the Bible. Special events and service projects take place throughout the year.

Orenco's student leadership program, SALT (Student Action Leadership Team), meets throughout the year. Saltines discover their spiritual gifts, serve inside and outside of the church, learn leadership skills, and gain valuable leadership experience.
